Back to School Fund is in need of donations to purchase gift cards, backpacks and school supplies for low income children so that they can be better prepared for school.  Support for this very vital program is really needed.  Call us for more details.

5K Road Race and Health Fair on Saturday, August 14 in Danbury is in need of volunteers to help with the event by registering runners, marking the course, handing out water, working at the finish line.  Volunteers are needed during the hours of 7:30 am to 2 pm.  They also need help the night before to hand out registration packets.

Painters need to paint props on August 25th and 26th in Danbury for an art show that will take place in September. 

 

 

 

OPPORTUNITIES TO VOLUNTEER

Regional arts organization is looking for a volunteer experienced with Constant Contact software to manage the content and databases of a bi-monthly E-Newsletter.

Community theater in Newtown is looking for volunteers to assist on show nights with tickets, ushering or concessions.

Videographer needed to develop a video for a multi-faceted agency so they can use it as a marketing tool to highlight who they are and what they do. 

Business experienced volunteers are needed to assist an organization that provides information to potential or existing business owners.  Volunteers will assist with current or ongoing projects.  They are currently looking for marketing expertise.

Volunteer Coordinator needed to assist an agency with recruitment and placement of volunteers for an event in September.

Book sorters needed in Danbury to help organize donated books prior to a major book sale.

Could you coordinate a food drive with coworkers, civic club members, your faith community, or at an area food store? The food collected will go to a pantry serving individuals affected by AIDS.  This is a great summer project for teens. 

 

 

 

WISH LIST

Small lego pieces are needed for hands-on math activities in a 5th grade classroom.

Electric lift up recliner chair is needed for a woman with mobility issues.  They can arrange pickup.

Household items in excellent condition needed for a mental health residential program.  They can use pots, pans, glasses,   silverware, utensils, small appliances, bathmats, shower curtains, and bedroom side tables and twin metal bed frames.
